FREE Vintage Matinee – 42nd St (1933)

When the leading lady of a Broadway musical breaks her ankle, she is replaced by a young chorus girl who becomes the star of the show. This musical romance features notable performances by Ruby Keeler, Dick Powell, and Ginger Rogers. The innovative choreography by Busby Berkeley, who made his film debut with this project, introduced spectacular dance routines and creative camera techniques, setting a new standard for musical cinema.
