Mae’n 1955, oes yr NHS newydd, ond mae’r wyrcws yn sefyll o hyd, a rhai o’i drigolion yn garcharorion tlodi ers hanner canrif a mwy. Daw dwy fenyw o gefndiroedd hollol wahanol wyneb yn wyneb, y naill yn cludo traddodiad a’r llall yn gobeithio diogelu’r traddodiad hwnnw. Ond wrth ganu, recordio a thrafod caneuon gwerin, daw hanes cudd i’r golwg. Addas i bobl 14 oed a hŷn.

It’s 1955, the age of the new NHS, but the workhouse still stands and some of its residents have been prisoners of poverty for more than half a century. Two women from completely different backgrounds come face to face, one carrying tradition and the other hoping to preserve that tradition. But while singing, recording and discussing folk songs, a hidden history is revealed. Suitable for ages 14 and older.
