Exhibition invitation
Hello all,
Since getting the news 12 days ago that the cancer had returned with a terminal diagnosis, Mum has been insistent that we put on an exhibition for all of her lovely friends (of course – what else would we be doing!), with a twist: you are invited to choose a painting that “speaks to you” to have as part of her creative legacy, and as a final thank you from her.
How it will work:
– The exhibition will be open at Theatr Twm or Nant, Station road, Denbigh, LL16 3DA on the 19th, 20th and 21st of September during the Denbigh Open Doors event. Please see poster.
– If you can do, please come along this opening weekend to choose your painting, but if you can’t make it this weekend the exhibition will be open on request throughout the remainder of September and October. To request opening please speak to Gaynor on 01745 812349
– The theatre staff have a list of your names and the paintings will be numbered, so all you have to do is choose something without a red dot and tell the staff who you are and which number you would like.
– Of course, there is no pressure to have a painting if you would prefer not to.
– If possible we want to keep the paintings up and on display for the full exhibition run, so ideally we will be in touch for you to come and collect after the closing date. But if you need to take yours sooner please let me know.
It’s been a shockingly quick development over the past week and a half but we have had some good times too and as she said whilst reflecting on her life “it’s been a blast!”. She is currently being well looked after by all of us, and by District and Palliative Nurses at home.
Finally, thank you for all of the love, support, and kindness you have shown to Mum over many years of friendship.
